Im a former City Inspector, which means I have a sharp eye for detail and I'm a strict "by the numbers" kind of guy. Over the last eight years, Ive been through five different mechanicsall but one right here in Tehachapi. After a recent bad experience with my current mechanic, I decided to give Mt. Autowerke a shot at the Heavyweight Title. In short, I couldn't be happier. Across the board, they are absolute pros: Communication: Clear, professional, and transparent. Work Performed: Flawless. It was very refreshing to pick up my BMW and not have to return it for a single adjustment or return it due to damage during worked performed.
Pricing & Shop: Fair, honest pricing and a top-notch, well-run facility. The owner, David Whalen, and right-hand man, Jake, are top notch.

There's no better shop in tehachapi, probably in Kern. absolutely stellar shop that knows their stuff. as an ex-mechanic i am overly cautious of who I trust when I cant DIY something at home. Mt euro has earned my trust fully. Their pricing is beyond fair and they go beyond the extra mile.

I have 2 (VW) vehicles that I have been taking to be serviced/repaired by MT Euro Autowerke and I could not speak more highly of the work that they have performed. Both of my veh's were purchased new and I always took them to the local VW dealership for all service and repairs. When I moved to Tehachapi I was concerned that it would be difficult to find a qualified mechanic to take my cars to for their automotive needs.

David (the owner) is very knowledgeable and his work shows. They have explained to me what would be required and "why" and have always repaired any problems, showing me any parts that needed replacement. I am so grateful to have found Mt Euro! Terri (the office manager) is wonderful and does all she can to get me 'in" as soon possible. They always make you feel like you are important to them, quite a feat these days!

Ive taken 2 of my personal vehicles here 5 years apart. One diesel truck and a car with an electrical short. Both times David has gotten me taken care of with as much information as possible and as quickly as I could ask. I wont ever trust anyone else with my vehicles and would recommend the same to anyone else!

HUGE RAVE!!! Mt.Euro Autowerke!!! I know I am not the only person on the struggle bus right now times are hard! Today my daughter’s car went out of commission on her way home from work. She has kids and we both work full time so we both need two cars and I only have one. I called them and they said they are completely booked, but they said if I could get it to them they would see if they could at least diagnose it for me. When I walked in the from door I was at the end of my rope, like has been kicking my butt lately and I was done! He grabbed my keys and went out to check it, it needed a new coil pack. I sat down and chatted with his sweet mom for a min then I asked her if he was done looking at it and he came over and said ‘the parts on its way, I’ll have you going in about 15 min.” Within 20 min they fixed it and test drove it and I had the keys back in my hand. They didn’t over charge me (quite the contrary he actually did charge me for the diagnostic). I have been there a few times and each time I go I love them more. Hard working, kind and loving, honest people. When I left I thanked him many times and he said I just hope this makes your day a little better??

On June 24th the great team at Mt. Euro replaced the spark plugs on my 2004 Mercedes 600SL. I saved more than $1000 from the dealership price quote. I did have a slight problem in that 2 of the sensor wires were accidentally reversed (easy to make this error as the sensors are right next to each other and have an identical appearance). I returned the next morning and they took care of it right away with no complaints or charge. They are tremendously pleasant and very knowledgeable. I am very pleased....enough so as to write this review/recommendation. They are among the good guys!!!

I have tried many mechanic shops in Tehachapi and Mt Euro is the only one I will go to. It is also the only one I will recommend to friends and family with 100% confidence.

1. Price: They do everything to ensure theyre giving you a solid price. Ive confirmed this by checking in at multiple shops. Mt. Euro always came in at a great rate.

2. Quality: Everything is fixed correctly the first time, and they go above and beyond to do this. Very knowledgeable on what needs to be done *and* what doesnt need to be done.

3. Integrity: I have been to many shops not only in Tehachapi, but all around California and other states - Mt Euro is by far the most trustworthy and honorable shop I have been to. Other shops have told me I need to get certain things fixed right away on my vehicle - When I took my car to Mt Euro for a second opinion they did a through inspection and told me my car didnt need all the fixes the other shops tried to get me to do - they could easily have made a quick buck off me or my wife but instead they do things the honorable way. You can confidently know if you take your vehicle here they will be honest with you and ONLY fix what needs to be addressed.

4. Service: They are quick and wont leave you hanging. They will stay in touch with you if there is a delay for any reason so youre not left wondering whats going on. They are also so friendly!! They are genuinely nice people. My wife and I always love talking to them.

5. They dont just do European vehicles: I have taken my Mercedes here, my Toyota and my wifes Lexus - same quality and knowledge on each vehicle.

If I could give 10 stars I would. They are everything you hope to find in a mechanic , super thankful theyre in Tehachapi!

I have to start first by talking about how pleasant Terri in the office is. I waited to the last minute to contact them about getting my car in to look at brakes and things, just overall maintenance. She informed me that they did not have time but she keep my name on the list just in case. She called me back and let me know that they had room and they squeezed me in.

David is awesome. I am not the biggest car guru and I get Very nervous taking my car in anywhere. He was calm and told me my options and explained everything to me. He even showed me parts and explained why he felt it was necessary to do the things that we needed to get done. I did not feel like I was getting ran over or played. He and his team not only got my rotors done, worked on a belt and the other things, the got me out that day even after squeezing me into their busy schedule.

After that work, another issue popped up and they got me right in. They ordered parts and drove me home! They were able to get my car out very fast.

It was a very expensive couple of days for me, but I walked away feeling secure in the work they did for me. I appreciate the honesty and comfort they gave me while working on my car. I hope to not have to come back anytime soon, but when and if I need car work done it will be through David, Terri and the rest of the team at Mt. Euro Mechanics.

I have been going here for a year and a half. I can not say enough good things about them. They take great care of my car.

Last year, I was so nervous about getting my car repaired. My elderly neighbor recommended David with glowing remarks. I had some costly repairs done. The part that was sold by the dealership malfunctioned, and David replaced it without charging labor, and he had the dealership pay for the part. The part broke again, and he replaced it for free again. THAT part failed. He showed me the part, and it had literally dissolved. The plastic was so cheap. The dealership sent a faulty part 3 times! He bought a metal version for a different car and customized it to fit my car. It has NOT failed. He literally worked a miracle by making a part that didn't exist.

He showed me what was going on each time I came in. I was able to Google what was happening with my car and saw that it was a very common problem with my model.

He charged me a fair price in the beginning to do a pretty costly diagnosis and repair. But then, when something happened that was beyond his control, he looked out for me and did not charge me another cent.

Tracey always looks out for me, and I know I can trust my vehicle with David. I will be coming back in the future even when my vehicle is not European.

These guys were absolutely fantastic! Travelling down from Canada, about a thousand miles from Home, my 1992 Euro Van lost all its coolant and I was stuck on the side of Hwy 58 on a Sunday afternoon. I needed to identify where to have the vehicle towed and these guys came highly recommended and I can totally see why!!! I had the car towed to their parking lot, which was pretty full with vehicles looking to be serviced. I came back in the morning and the guy's were amazing. He said he'd take a quick look, but was very busy. He immediately identified that the coolant reservoir cap had failed and busted and was no longer holding pressure. He tested and confirmed that the system was good and ordered a cap to fit my car. He then went further and identified that the drivers side fan was not running. He diagnosed the situation further and found a cracked fuse was the culprit with the drivers side fan. No fuses are available for my old Van, so he built to fit and installed an inline fuse and had me back on the road that afternoon. I just cannot say enough good things about these guys!!! Good and fair pricing, great mechanical skills, so very, very helpful.... Wish they were closer to my home :).
